TOC TOC Example TOC HTML toclogd Zero-Logs

TOC We use the Tech Operations Console to give us a semi-real-time view into the operational status of our infrastructure devices -- what the various network management packages are saying about devices and what messages those devices are logging. The TOC functions as an event concentrator: Swatch watches syslog and copies strings to a pipe which toclogd reads. toclogd appends that string to various text files (which Zero-Logs wipes every night at midnight). These scripts rely on the Netops Toolkit. The result is visible in a set of HTML pages which use frames and Javascript to display various text files and to refresh the pages every ~30 seconds. The current version of the TOC is v2.4.
