DeviceThese scripts accept a list of devices, query them, and build an MRTG config file. They can employ three methods for accepting that list: a command-line list, a text file, and strings with which to parse a hosts file. They all require the in-house Netops module collection. Catalyst Backplane queries switches for the backplane utilization variable. Catalyst Inline Power queries switches for the inline power variables. Catalyst System Power queries switches for the system power variables. Firewall queries CheckPoint and PIX firewalls. Fibre Channel Switch queries a list of Fibre Channel switches for various parameters, some of which are Brocade-specific. Host queries a list of boxes running the Net-SNMP daemon, the Microsoft Windows SNMP service, or the WTSC SNMP-INFORMANT sub-agent. This script also handles NAS boxes like NetApp and BlueArc. IOS queries a list of Cisco devices for CPU, memory, and bus variables. Tipping Point queries a list of Tipping Point IPS boxes for various parameters. Catalyst Port Buffer queries a list of Catalyst switches, tracking how often outbound port buffers overflow and packets are dropped. Catalyst Port Error queries a list of Catalyst switches, tracking how often ports record physical layer errors. Remote Access queries a list of Cisco dial-up and VPN devices, tracking modem usage, and various ASA and Altiga parameters. Temperature queries a list of American Power Conversion UPSes for the single variable of temperature. UPS queries a list of American Power Conversion UPSes. VoIP Gateway Calls queries a list of analog and digital VoIP gateways and displays call activity. WAP Client queries a list of Cisco Aironet devices (wireless access points) for the single variable of currently associated clients and graphs the result by WAP or by building. WAP RF Int queries a list of Cisco Aironet devices (wireless access points) for the single variable of radio frequency interface utilization (ifInOctet/ifOutOctet). |
